3. The Murderer

The flickering candles
in the prison cell full of regrets
Like a mad man
I could make no sense
Guards walking by
Pointed at me and said
"She haunts him still
The woman that he killed"

I couldn't recall her face
But only the scarring knife
Her pale wet face
after she took the dive
Suffocating for air
Till her death arrived

Yes I pushed her
I pushed her off the cliff
She wanted to die
And I couldn't help her live

The courtroom was crowded
They had come to see the newly wed
"I killed her", I confessed
"I killed her for she was already dead"
